What kind of wire to use?

I'm going to rework the electronics in my electric guitar. I was wondering what kind of wire you guys use inside your guitar (as in gauge, shielded/or not, cloth wire, etc...)?

 

And where can I find it pretty cheap.

I think I used 22 for wiring the insides of my guitars. I bought cloth wire because of the mojo factor but it really doesn't make a difference. Input jack should be shielded or anything with a long run.

I use stranded CAT5 cable.

 

Cut the ends of and pull 'em out of the sleeve.

I usually use single strand 24 gauge. Dirt cheap at Rat Shack.

22 or 24 gauge. I prefer stranded copper over solid copper. Cloth covered is nice if you are working on a vintage guitar, or if you're doing a relic or something like that. Shielded wire is great if you are dealing with noise issues, but as long as the guitar / pickup / control cavities are all properly shielded, you shouldn't really need shielded wire.

currently have been using this up. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062656 I just split the rows up. Started using solid core after hearing that a couple modders in EG find it easier to work with. I'd have to agree, although it isn't a big deal.
