Members Taylor704
I'm loving my Marshall Drivemaster with my new Vox AC30 CC2 and it sounds like (to me) an amazing combo at band practise and gigs. Saying that, with the gain under 2 or 3, my Drivemaster sounds a bit meh because it takes just a bit more for it to sound good again. However, my Dano Cool Cat Drive is just too high gain to use as a boost for me. I bought it as a cheap pedal and it does sound great but it becomes too saturated too quickly. I've been using the gain at 3 and nothing more. Even as a pure volume boost, it hasn't got much excess volume. In essence, i'm looking for a stand alone overdrive that has a moderate amount of gain, and something that when needed could boost my guitars signal a few decibels whilst sounding good with my Drivemaster. Does such a pedal exist? Suggestions please people

Members erksin
Not trying to be a smarty here, but have you tried your guitars volume knob? Srsly - roll it back a little for lower gain sounds, if you still need a volume boost when full up there's a million clean boost pedals out there. Members Flogger59
If you can find one, a Zoom PD01. 30db clean gain, or overdrive with no mid hump, your choice.

Members Jisatsu
If money is no concern I really like my silverkiss. I keep the gain low and the volume up, have the eq set to taste, and it really does the trick. One of he best low gain ods I've used.
Members rawk100
Pull the clipping LEDs out of the Drivemaster, you'll get a "clearer" tone. I did that on mine and use it to boost the front of my crunchy JCM800. All I did was unsolder one leg of each LED, easily reversible.
