Members nightraven
that's a really syrup-y funky filter box there. always wondered what it sounded like - thanks!
Members eti
Sounds good! And reminds me I should make a demo of my vintage EHX Y Triggered Filter (which doesn't sound nearly as nice).
Members solewheelin
Thats a great sound. I guess EHX just couldn't decide on a name for their envelope filters huh?

Members JMR
I wish they'd reissue this in an XO enclosure. The Tube Zipper is cool, but I'd like a smaller, solidstate version powered by a 9v.

Members gae86
Wow thanks Thomas! This sounds really great! Maybe it's not tweakable like a q-tron, but it really has a great sound! Thanks a lot!

Members solewheelin
I imagine the circuit of the Zipper and Tube Zipper differ from that of the Doctor Q and many forms of the Q-tron. Just seeing a Zipper for the first time! Was this pedal even in the vintage EHX thread? Been looking to score a Tube Zipper for awhile for its use with an expression pedal. The Zipper sounds pretty amazing though. EHX has so many old circuits they can reissue in a small box. It's redactulous. All in time I guess. Members Seth Carmody
I think the zipper is an expanded dr q, but may be wrong
Members gae86
I think the zipper is an expanded dr q, but may be wrong I thought the dr q was a stripped version of the q-tron:lol:there are so many ehx pedals to going crazy! Members Fender&EHX4ever
http://www.ehx.com/products/tube-zipperIs this it? The Tube Zipper is an entirely different circuit than the original Zipper. No relation other than the name.

Members Fender&EHX4ever
sounds a bit thin Part of that could be that I'm using an iPod Touch to record with, and the amp was about 7' away. This is my first attempt at a video demo. My audio demos are usually more sonic.
Members Seth Carmody
I thought the dr q was a stripped version of the q-tron:lol:there are so many ehx pedals to going crazy! That's EHX fault, since they seem to think of "Q" as a trademark and include it for all their envelope filters now. Just like nearly every dirt pedal they make has to have muff in the title. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I read a vintage ehx product advertisement somewhere stating that the Zipper was more fully featured Dr Q, but they might not be the same circuit. The Bad Stone and Clone Theory weren't more tweakable versions of the Small Stone and Small Clone circuits.
