Members Mikoo69
What's the best way to use an RE-201 Space Echo in my guitar rig? When I just plug it in as part of my signal chain, it's 100% wet - no dry signal. Also sucks tone.

Members woolyh
I used to use one with a Boss LS-2 to take it out of the chain and level the signal. You can use it straight into the chain without a problem though as it comes with a footswitch for bypassing it. Not sure how you got it 100% wet with delay signal only though, sure you've plugged it in right with the switches in the right places?
Members Fender&EHX4ever
Where did you set the Echo Vol knob?
Members twanguero
I used mine with a TB looper at the end of my board and kept the Specho on my amp. Worked great! I never had it 100% wet, echo volume probably 9-11:

When I do care, I use an Ls-2!
Members WAWBanks
Also using the PA out will give you 100% wet only if I remember correctly. Use the other output
Members Saturnine10
I had a Re-201 for a while, it was fun but i ended up selling it I ran it in one of the loops of my GCX switcher mainly, worked perfectly It was a monster of a tone sucker though, i for sure wouldnt run without putting it in some sort of a TB loop.. Members echodeluxe
Tone suck how? Like it would drop the volume? Id just stick a micro amp after it. But that's my answer for everything.

Members Mikoo69
tried it again last night to make sure. when i plug into the instrument input, and then come out of the regular output (with H, M, L switch) I get wet echo/reverb only. If i turn the echo or reverb volume, I get no signal at all. Is something wrong with my space echo? I thought I read that some models are only wet, but I could be wrong. It's def a RE-201. Sounds like a faulty unit to me. Might be an easy fix though.
Members Mikoo69
If i can get it fixed to do a wet/dry blend, then it seems a TB looper would do the trick. Thanks!
Members Saturnine10
Here's a link to the service manual.. There are a few internal pots that may have been mis-adjusted.. http://manuals.fdiskc.com/flat/Roland%20RE-101%20&%20RE-201%20Service%20Manual.pdf I had to fiddle with mine a little to get it work 100%

Members echodeluxe
I find the micro amp frightens the signal up slightly.
