Members mr benn
Havent had much look on the guitar forum so... theres an epiphone Tom delonge epi for sale locally, and if I could get it cheap enough I'd love to mod it,but my question is what type of top is goin to lurk under the paint? I wouldnt be expecting a beautifully grained, matched top by any stress of the imagination but would a sold colour like this tend to get the redheaded step-child of maple tops? Any help would be fantastic thanks! I'm thinking on "doing a Lennon" on it and adding a P-90 in the neck
Members WeStartToDrift
I'm sure its just like the natural-finish dots, I wouldn't be too worried about it being hideous. Also, Lennon put a Charlie Christian-style pickup in the neck of his Les Paul Special.

Members Kid_A
^^^ lulz... The amount of time you would have to put into stripping it, then refinishing it, would it not be worth just waiting on a natural finish 335?
Members macadood
i had the dot studio, it was ok for a starter guitar, but i wouldnt want to still be playing it at all. personally i wouldnt even bother upgrading its pickups or anything. not sure about the model yorue talking about though
