Maybe I should fill it after stripping the finish and then do a solid color or something. Supposedly the finish is nitro but who knows. It feels weird and kinda rubbery. Members hangwire Posted August 12, 2012 Author Members Share Posted August 12, 2012 It looks good in the photo but you can see some spots where the paint ran, I had to do a second coat to make it more evenly distributed, the first run thru was awful. It also feels very rough to the touch. paint runs are like battle scars, keep that {censored} honest man... throw a can of deft on it over an entire day and see if that stops the roughness once you do a 1800 grit sandpaper rub down and a tact cloth swipe... I dont need car smooth guitars, and playing wear tends to finish off just fine for my uses. deft is clearcoat that is cheap and does well on guitars...
