Do you guys think I can get some good Exodus tones out of it? I love the tone on the Another Lesson in Violence, Live album. Ahhh, a man of true discerning taste. I've been trying to get that Bonded By Blood tone for a long time. Didn't find the right combination yet.
Members petejt
Andy from King Diamond used them as well.....I never liked them personally...too bright like Marshalls tend to be. Which albums did he used them on?
Members petejt
Disincarnate's album is my fav death metal guitar sound of all time. TS9 -> Valvestate 8100 -> JCM800 Cab(rented from Bill Steer). m/ I thought one guitarist used a TS9 boosting the Valvestate 8100 amp, and the other guitarist used a boosted JCM800 amp? Did both guitarists use Valvestates?
Members petejt
King Diamond guitarist and guest on Death's Individual Thought Patterns album. Now go buy King Diamond Abigail I and II and Conspiracy. You'll thank me later. So Andy used the Valvestate 8100 on Abigail, as well as Them and Conspiracy?I always thought it was brightly-set boosted JCM800s?What amps did Michael Denner use on Abigail? Members BOOGIE666
I owned a vs100 which is basically the same thing as a 8100, they are acutally are pretty cool amps with a boost in front.
Members kinggeoff
Needs some OD pedals for that. Maybe 4 or 5. 8100 get's pretty damn brutal on its own. Thank you contour knob
Members Elric
I am not surprised at all. +1. SS distortion can do Br00T4lz with ease... that application and crystal clean are really where SS can actually hang w/ tubes.
Members El Grinder
I'm listening to Sound of Perserverence now, though Symbollic and Individual Thought Patterns are mainstays to my CD case... Great sound! I'm just glad that I got to see a Death show in Indy before Chuck's health got so bad.
