  2. Originally posted by thegame Mako is about to come out with such an amp (minus the midi). "is about" when talking Mako is somewhat open to interpretation. Originally posted by thegame I'm not talking about versatility and features, I'm talking about overbuilt ruggedness only. Engl also build 4 channel MIDI amps with alot more switchable functions than a Diezel, yet their build quality is not as good as Diezel. You cited 3 companies well-known for PTP wiring and oldschool design. I think Diezel doesn't fit that description at all. Diezel amps are rugged and overbuilt too. Engl has nothing to do with it.
  3. Originally posted by thegame Diezel build quality is very good, but I'd stop short of calling it exceptional. Some amps that have much better build quality include Wizard, Roccaforte and Mako. These are truley built like tanks. None of the other brands you mentionned build 4-channel amps with a lot of switchable functions and midi interface... How can you say they have much better build quality when the products aren't even comparable ??

  5. Originally posted by Duesentrieb I wouldn't mind (again) a 2/50/2 though I forgot... I cannot get used to the look and logo !! Like the Tyler headstock !! I'm trying really hard but I CANNOT !!
  6. Originally posted by Duesentrieb Why not all of them? I have an Einstein, Herbert, Bogner/Marshall 2203, SLO-Clone and a pure 2204. All I need is a . . . not sure yet Ha !! To tell the truth, I'd like to have a VH4... Unlike others, I like the smooth compressed tone of channel 4 for soloing... But my funds aren't unlimited so choices have to be made !!! But please, for the life of me, no VHT, at least that I'm sure of !!! I already have way too much gear for my my own good anyway....
  7. Originally posted by Marshall Freak I agree 110% and I don't have a Diezel, and I don't want one. A friend of mine has one, and when I played it I was extremely impressed, and thought it was a killer amp, but I'm in the "Not for me" group. I feel the same about VHT's. I think you're right, now that they're in GC, it's going to be just like the kid with the Agile... "My Agile sounds better, and plays better than my dads friends real 59 Les Paul!!! RAWK!!1!11!!" Rest assured you're not alone and we may have similar taste !! VHTs leave me cold and Diezel is OK but not for me.... Gimme a 2203 or a SLO any day !!
