That was completely new to me. I grew up with midi and Diezels, you know . . .

Wow, never heard of them. Do they rate Diezels as "cumpoters" too - or do they know the difference between multichannel amps with superior technology and single channel Plexi clones?

Makes me wonder why Beck prefers a DSL - is that a PTP amp?

Looks like a PC inside to me.

People are posting the inards of single channel amps, Dooshentribe....deal with it.

Beck, IMO sounds nowhere near as good as when he used 50 watt Marshalls and pedals.

and, he's used a Ratt with those DSL's as well HAHAHAHAHA

There are no amps made today that compare to old ones??????

Come on Carl.....

Todays amps are better, more reliable, and can get the exact tones of yesteryear and then some....

All those players were great players....which once again proves the fact that alot of players tones are in their hands, not in their gear...

Steve

Im only addressing the pelels in front of an amp issue. There are plenty of cool channel switchers. I've owned many!

To completely dismiss using pedals into an amp to get tones is insane.

I'm not a vintage fan. I would NEVER buy a 35 year old POS broken down {censored}box.

Just for your info: the last amp I've built was a single channel PTP Plexi. :p

I have no argument with you. I like non master volume amps AND channel switchers....PTP or PCB....never a factor with me.

I do believe with a non master Marshall Plexi style amp, I'd prefer PTP.

Far as I know, there are NO PTP channel switchers?

Dismissing pedals as a way of getting sounds is plain dumb.

You PTP freaking snobs need to enjoy playing more and stop worrying about the TGP lurkers. I will play on just about anything to hang with the guys.

Some of you guys are making me maddy maddy

Don't tell me what to do. You're not the boss of me. PCB=SUCK

Jeff Seal has a former 2210 that he ripped the guts out of, replaced them with his own circuit, complete with channel switching. It's PTP. Just takes a lot of work.
