All those players were great players....which once again proves the fact that alot of players tones are in their hands, not in their gear... Steve Im only addressing the pelels in front of an amp issue. There are plenty of cool channel switchers. I've owned many! To completely dismiss using pedals into an amp to get tones is insane. Jeff Seal has a former 2210 that he ripped the guts out of, replaced them with his own circuit, complete with channel switching. It's PTP. Just takes a lot of work.
