They're a hell of a lot more comfortable than most shoes and don't make it look like you're a freaking cartoon character with giant feet like those crappy skater shoes do. I used to have a pair and they were super comfortable. Good for protection from ankle biting dogs. A dalmation ate those. Now I have the 10" version. It took a while for the pain to set in, and its mostly around my smaller toes. They're probably great for people with flat feet. My girlfriend says that they're way more comfortable after they've been broken in, like you're not even wearing a shoe at all. Weren't they originally basketball shoes?
