  1. Dude Phil, why NOW? What the hell could have prompted the mods to suddenly do away with a years-old tradition in the Amps forum? What the {censored} is going on, man?
  2. Spam threads have been a staple here forever. Dont mess with them, please.
  3. Also, not every country that the US has attacked recently can be said to have been liberated, and I dont know if any of them really asked for liberation. But hey, Grenada was a hellhole, man. You cant un-see that kind of {censored}.
  4. Originally posted by Roccaforte Amps ] those are very small numbers. I think the main point thats getting lost here, the US is the only country that has put major effort into liberating other countries. Sorry, but Canada has never come close. They have helped, but IMO it was miniscule. Uh, Europe And, if we wanted to be more specific: www.holland.com
  5. Originally posted by 17 Tubes I admitted almost as much. And you're right. I derserve some admonishment. I think you are undervaluing your benefits from the USA, and that is just my opinion. Believe me, the economic benefits are many and obviously NATO, spearheaded by the US, keeps us safe from an attack that will never happen ( ). I love my American brethren. The admin, not so much.

  7. Originally posted by Roccaforte Amps pray tell? LOL Look, this thread has taken a twist from the real issue at hand. That terrorist asshole has been clipped, and thats that. Doug PS, I do like Canada, and its people, I have lots of canadian friends. I won't insult them, but the Canadian military hasn't done {censored} to really help anyone else in the world in a very long time. Yes, and I'm glad he's dead and you'll notice I said so, and hoped the killing would decrease. But cmon, your argument doesnt hold water if you cant tell me which conflicts we should be helping in, or should have helped in. It's not confrontational, I'm just asking your opinion.
  8. Originally posted by SkidMarx oh, British. Go figure. Well, thanx for the lecture, bloke. And if you see Tony Blaire, give him a right good hug for me, won'tcha? God Save the Queen! ... lol.
  9. Originally posted by Roccaforte Amps yeah, past. So why have they stopped? hummm........... What conflicts demand our attention, pray tell? We have peacekeeping forces all around the world, including Afghanistan.
  10. Originally posted by 17 Tubes Yeah..you just let the other countries do all the work and benefit from the proceeds. You don't benefit from the well-being of the United States....correct? Yeah..you benefit, but for some reason you have a more holier reason to object to any perceived evils. You can stand back and "objectively" criticize. OHHHHhhHH! Good work!...Bravo! There have been, and ARE Canadian citizens who have give their lives for the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness....for people of other nations as well as their own. Unfortunately, Canada is even worse than the USA in honoring that sacrifice. Canada has done more than its share in the conflicts of the past and had one of the highest ratios of population to enlisted men, so please, dont try it. The only thing you guys have defended us from recently are our fair shake of softwood lumber money. Yes we benefit, of course. Doesnt mean I cant criticize the American administration.
  11. Originally posted by JamesPeters I tried calling you yesterday (by cupping my hands, putting them in front of my mouth and yelling), but you weren't home. This made me cackle so loud my mom wanted to know what was so funny.
  12. Originally posted by the russ oh yeah.. it'll be a cakewalk.. just like Iraq. Roadside hug bombs the horror of 12 canadians wanting to give you a big ol' hug..
  13. Originally posted by PlayboyChris I'm just railing on the country because I have a dim view of it. Growing up in Detroit Is it because the Detroit streets were already stock full of piss
  14. Oh yeah, and btw, when you all run outta fresh water and oil, don't come a-knockin' to the frozen wasteland. =]
  15. Originally posted by JackBootedThug Your more intellegent than that. I know, just trying to stir the pot with semantics. But it is ridiculous how much the US spends on stuff they label as "for defense".
  16. Originally posted by JamesPeters Hey Sean, can I come over to your igloo today? I'll take my dog sled. See you in 5 minutes. Yeah, luckily Calgary is just a few minutes down the road or it'd be tough trying to navigate the trails. Watch out though, it's approaching -20C, so the igloo isnt in great shape. Just make sure you dont crash the sled into it.
  17. Originally posted by PlayboyChris When your country is a frozen wasteland with a penchant for wimpery that no nation in its right mind would want to take possession of, there's no need for national defense because there's nothing to defend. You of all people should appreciate... Peter North was born Alden Brown on May 11, 1957. He is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Pamela Anderson was born near Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada.
  18. Originally posted by JackBootedThug Not to sound hostile, but when you dont have a large percentage of your GNP going to national defense you can funnel massive amounts of funds to social programs. Well, I dont see what's "defensive" about attacking other countries and developing all kind of nuclear weapons, but...
  19. Originally posted by Roccaforte Amps Are you speaking for all of canada, or just yourself? Canada seems to like to mind its own business, which is ok, but if a country like yours does this, then they have no room to comment on the US as far as I'm concerned. The USA has bailed many countries out of their problems, and taken heat for it all the way through. Funny though, where does the majority of the world want to live, and admire, and copy? The USA, it can't be denied. Which countries have been bailed out, pray tell Dont say WW1 or 2, please. And i'd much rather live here than in the US. I'd rather live in Scandiniavia than the US, too.
  20. Originally posted by JackBootedThug Sean, and James, What's the Canadian reaction over the terror cell that was busted up there?j/c Not really much here. People are a bit shocked, but life continues as normal. There was mild vandalization (is that a word?) of a mosque but other than that, not much backlash either.
  21. Originally posted by 1big1 what will you throw at the danes when they try to invade you from greenland? The Inuit
  22. Originally posted by JamesPeters The real truth isn't about a country demonstrating the ability to take power but the desire to take power. The ability comes from the desire. Yeah sorry guys, we spent all our possible stealth bomber money on healthcare and education and all that other boring {censored}.
  23. Originally posted by JamesPeters Yeah, explain it to Pete so he can tell you "USA--love it or leave it!" "USA* - love it or leave it!" *includes Puerto Rico and Guam.
  24. Originally posted by SkidMarx now that's funny. In order to crave power you have to demonstrate an ability to take it. Canada couldn't kick Bon Jovi's ass. HA! Just f-in witcha, kid. Haha, you can keep Bon Jovi I met JBJ in Toronto on the street actually once, but thats another, less interesting story.
  25. Some of us countries dont crave power.
