I've seen quite a few "dream rig" and "what 4 amps" threads and all that, but what's your REASONABLE dream rig? Like, if you could start all over, or had a reasonable chunk of money because bills weren't eating your income for a few weeks, what would you have? Also assume you're gigging with a great band in your favorite style, but not really making it further than just medium venue local gigs.

I'd like to have:

Tobacco Burst G&L Legacy w/ Fralin Blues Specials

3-tone burst semi-hollow G&L Bluesboy

Dr. Z Mazerati + Avatar G12H/Greenback 2x12

Fender '59 Bassman LTD

And a few effects, namely: A/B/Y switch, Analogman Ge fuzz, true-bypass ts808, EH DMM, Small Stone, Teese picture wah, and peterson

I'd say the tele and the Bassman are optional pleasantries that I would thoroughly enjoy.

I'd probably be playing jazz/blues/rock/psychedelic/experimental like Radiohead and Buddy Guy had a lovechild but Hendrix and Pink Floyd needed to take paternity tests too.

So how about you?

Egnater M100 Head w/ A bunch of modules

Small Rack: Fractal Audio Axe-FX Ultra, Furman AR-15, VHT Power Amp, Axess FX-1 Foot controller, 2 Boss FV-500 Volume Pedals

Guitars: My Les Paul Standard, Suhr Standard Strat, Fender Strat EJ, Fender Tele, Gibson ES-335, Gibson ES-175

i already have it.

Me too.

Although I am a restless spirit and always into checking out good gear, new or old, makes no difference. I don't have any need of more gear (I only have so much room in my basement when you include studio gear) but sometimes I randomly walk into GC or cruise ebay and say "ok I need that" and that's it. :p The only things I realistically want to add anytime soon are twin Mesa '80s metal grill 4x12s with Black Shadow speakers.

My reasonable dream rig is my rig. Even down to the small details of retubing my amp to all JJs and running all Monster cables, I have it down, but it's not without cost. I sold an amp and 2 other guitars to buy this amp and the rest of my setup (though I have a little left over). I just decided that I want 1 kickass setup instead of more stuff I am not totally in love with. If I could add more, I would love a Gibson CS 1956 Goldtop reissue, and I'd really like to try a Shiva... but for now, I'm really happy. Here's a bigger pic for you all.

Simplicity at it's finest.
:thu:

Thanks man, I really love it. I have always been a tone freak, and for the first time have nothing to complain about or improve on. I am a little lost! Orange just makes such solid amps these days, it's boutique quality but vintage tone.

Ok, I'm going to assume this is only guitar stuff (I have a lot of studio equipment). So, my current setup is Vox AC30CCH, Orange Rocker 30, Orange 2x12, Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb, Ampeg Rocket Reverb, Rickenbacker 330, American Fender Telecaster, Epiphone Emperor, Epiphone Cortez, Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, EHX Holy Grail, Keeley Rat, Frantone Peachfuzz, Fulltone Fulldrive 2, Maxon Phase Tone, Danelectro Tuna Melt, Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus, Korg DTR1000. To rebuy all that stuff at Musicians Friend price I would have a budget of around $8000 (that makes me ill to think about). I would buy:

Matchless DC-30
Gibson Les Paul Goldtop
Rickenbacker 360 Fireglo
Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Fireburst
Fender Jazzmaster White
(that's probably $8000 there new...)
Effects:
Zvex Box of Rock
Retro-Sonic Chorus
SIB Mr. Echo
Fender Blender
Frantone Peachfuzz (my favorite pedal)
Menatone Top Boost in a Can
Subdecay Quasar

A Heritage Les Paul
50w SLO Clone (in the middle of building ATM)
50w Hot rodded JCM800
Tonebone ABY pedal
A GOOD boost pedal, I've played a bunch that I "like" but nothing that I "love"
and the two 4x12s that I already own

oh and for clean:
Dr Z Mazerati combo or head, whatever that amp is the tits

Some kind of strat, tele and LP (allready have the strat + LP) all loaded with Bareknuckles or other nice pickups. I dont really use many pedals, just a V847 and a Korg Tuner really. For the amp I want something like a Plexi or JCM800 and a nice 2x12 or 4x12 depending how much I had to move it around. My Laney GH does the british sound ok for now but doesnt have the bite and raunchiness of a Marshall :(
