Members Carrie-uk
Hi guys. This is my first post! I've started looking for Yamaha synth forums because I'm dying to know if the Motif-ES successor will be showcased soon. Anyway, you can check out some of my tunes here if you like:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=168777 Carrie
Members Etienne Rambert
bruto: Xyzyx I fused a couple of song parts together." I REALLY like that! At first I didn't like the section with the organ break. But then followed that beautiful nylon string guitar. The mix and the sounds are beautiful. I think the intro to each section could be a bit shorter. The beginning of each section meanders a bit. I would go straight for the drama. And there are many lovely, dramatic parts in that piece. The ending is a bit of a let down too, after so many lovely passages. But that's a small matter. I think you should cut straight to the chase in each section though. I really enjoyed it a lot! Get it there safely? Thanks. Actually, I think my guitar playing is pretty good on that. For a synth, I used the Yamaha Mu100 module. I love the Bossa Nova. I decided at the last minute to bring a nearly 35 year old Guild D-25 acoustic guitar back to Vietnam with me and get it restored, instead of lugging the Triton Le. You can see before & after photos at that link. You were right though. It would cost $350+ to bring the Triton Le on the flight with me. Bringing the guitar was the right move to make. For $200, the old Guild looks and plays like new. It will probably outlive me now.

Almost all reviewers on AcidPlanet have stated that they like the part with the guitar. That's a 2 chord Dmin9th / Dmaj9th progression. I might rework that part into a song by itself, but I don't how long I can keep 2 chords going. (It's never bothered Ibeza style music though.) The nylon guitar and following synth lead are both from the Korg TR Rack. The organ chords are a Roland MKS-50. I'm working on a Christmas song now - a solo piano piece in Locrian mode. It's a beautiful mode, and modulates easily, but always sounds like a Windham Hill CD. BTW, the Guild sounds great. I love big box acoustics. Members alfadawg01
OK, folks, we're trying out Christmas toys....Herein is my recording of Wayne Watson's "Material Magic" for your consideration. The whole thing was sequenced on an Ensoniq SD1 and has no melody line as I used it as an accompaniment track for me to sing over. The mp3 was recorded on Audacity with an Edirol UA-1EX interface (the new toy in question, thanks to my generous and supportive wife and son). Enjoy!Material Magic

Members laslow
Here's some new music from me. I create a mix of "IDM", ambient, glitch, and trance often utilizing recorded sound effects as percussion and ambience. (Doors slamming, people walking, seagulls, even a christmas party. Anything I find that inspires me to create a song around it.) Members alfadawg01
More for you consideration. I'm helping my son with a computer game he's programming and this is the first piece of music I've composed and recorded for him. It's a bit dark and spooky, it uses an Alesis Ion for the wierd lead lines, a Roland JV1080 for the phase shifted pad and an Ensoniq SD1 for the rest. It's somewhat of a work in progress, but I'm having too much fun with digital recording to not subject you kind folks to my noodlings. Comments always welcome. Members alfadawg01
The link below brings you another original piece of mine titled "Red Sand Desert". The into is from an Alesis Ion, main pad is from a Roland JV1080 and everything else was sequenced in my Ensoniq SD1.Red Sand DesertInspiration for the title came from this photo, taken south of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July 1982:Comments always welcome.
