It's a newer model silver diamond-plate, spraypainted black. The black/purpleish ones apparently are more favoured. That's blatant fraud. People get jailed for selling stolen cars which have been re-painted to disguise them. This ain't far from that, and the seller is being dishonest (and a dumbarse) for not explicitly saying that the amp head has been repainted.
