Members JoshuaLogan
I need to get a poweramp for my Axe-FX and I was going to get a used VHT 2/50/2 or 2/90/2, but that'd be about $700, so I started thinking maybe I should get a 5150 or Mark III or other similar affordable go-to amp in the same price range... because then I could use it as a poweramp for the Axe-FX, while also having another amp... Just wondering if there's a rackmount version or not, because if so that'd make things easier as far as moving it around and all that...
Members Ron Burgandy
A.) Yes there is a rackmount kit for it B.) A 5150 of MkIII is going to be more than $700 unless you find a really good deal.

Members MLattack
And they kick ass as a power amp. All the eq and pull functions work on the pre-amps tone.

Members knucklefux
the advantage of the VHT is that it's a stereo power amp. if that's not important to you, then a cheap tube amp will suffice.

Yeah, I know that. but honestly I don't think playing in stereo live is worth the hassle of it... unless maybe you were playing in a one guitarist band
