Members Murdoch
Back then it was the most fun multiplayer shooting game you could play on a console. The 4-player splitscreen shooter was a new deal and it brought gaming to a whole new level of fun. This. I can't even begin to calculate the hours of class I skipped in college playing this game. There was even a guy we knew who had no life that devised this screen out of foamboard that was duct-taped to the television so you could only see your screen at any given time. He wouldn't play unless we could dress up some poor soul's television into his gimp suit made of tape.

Members pelliott
You play Links Awakening? That was my first Zelda game and always been my favourite. Yeah, it's definitely up there for Zelda games, but it's on the outside looking in at OoT, MM, and LttP for me. Totally legit if it's your favorite though. The end of it really makes me sad, too. Members iff
there are plenty of FPS'es out there that blow it away in single player mode, sure. Which is why I added -multiplayer only- to Halo when I listed it. It's one of my favorites for online play though, it's good mindless fun. It's not a bad game by all means, I just can't stand having to shoot a guy for 5 seconds straight in order to kill him.

Members ChihliDog
Metal Gear Solid. I havent played anything after the original PS1 release, though. I loved MGS like no other game. Tomb Raider 2 was great Gran Turismo 2 and IV GTA IV has to be up there. Mass Effect seems like it has the potential to be, but the sound wont work right on my PC so that has ruined it for me. KOTOR Civ 2 Red Alert 2 SimCity IV/Rush Hour THat's really all I can come up with. Honorable mentions go to Syphon Filter 1 & 2, Utopia (anyone old enough to remember that game?) and Pitfall. I think Prototype was fantastic, but it remains to be seen how well it stands up over time. If they release expansions it could be truly great. Some people will tell you that COD: MW2 is better than your crappy atari games. I didn't list any atari games mw2 is just a flavor of the week game like most 360 games. Most of the newer games are just riding the technology. They're not really bringing anything new to the table. WoW and halo 2 were the biggest leaps recently just because of the online factor. Whenever a mmorpg (controller only) console game comes out it will be epic
