Members Crunchtime
Well, this seems to be a prototype.the relicing may be more accepted once the Gibson logo is on the headstock. What's the difference between Gibson relicing this or a Jimmy Page model?

Members NeloAngelo
I thought he was with ESP? metallica are great businessmen. that's why they own 100% of everything involved with their band and can have endorsement deals that aren't exclusive. Members OceansBetweenUs
Probably ridiculously priced - but nothing beats a beat up Gibby V. Still on the hunt for a used white Gibby V with some battle scars
Members NeloAngelo
only 150 will be made. 50 signed. don't expect anything to come of this.
Members OceansBetweenUs
only 150 will be made.50 signed.don't expect anything to come of this. Gibson is hilarious. You'd think the market for all of these 'collectors' guitars would bust by now. They literally release a new limited run every 3 months.
Members Phrophus
I love classic looking Vs, but EMG's, battle scars, bunch of tape and Hammet's signature should cause a price reduction if anything.
Members MyNameIsMok...
I just bought a Gibby V..then went to B&N to read the Classic Rock Mag article with Metallica (Cliff Burton!) on the cover....then came home and opened this thread. I personally think that is a cool ass guitar! Reliced Vs look cool as {censored} and play like butter. I can dig it.
Members blazingblake
I like V's but I want to put the wear on a guitar not buy a reliced one.
Members jlb32
I want it but the prices i got quoted yesterday was more than i wanna spend. What were the quotes if you don't mind me asking? I am really curious as to what Gibson would want and with it being "Limited", "50 signed" and "Custom Shop" I'm sure it's up there. You can PM me if you would rather not post it. I wonder if this is opening the door for Gibson and Hetfield to have another try at a signature guitar? James is the one that plays most of the Gibsons and IMO a Hetfield Gibson Explorer like his "Rusty Explorer" would be pretty cool if priced right. Members DeadNight Warrior
the aged was 5300 and the aged and signed and played by kirk was 7000 Wow, that is {censored}ing overpriced. A Flying V with EMGs that someone has beaten up, for $5k? Add another $2k for a signature on it? Absurd.
Members chrispsullivan
I can't believe people actually buy guitars like this.
Members chuck testa
I like it, reminds me of when metallica wa still good. That price is {censored}ing absurd though. Just a collecter type thing.
