Members guitarbilly74
When I had the DSL I could plug that amp into just about anything and it would sound fine. My GH100L, on the other hand, sounds absolutely glorious with the right set up but can sound like total crap with the wrong speaker or pickups... The Mesa Mark III was the same way.. great amp but extremely picky with speakers.. not so much with pickups. So what are the least picky amps? Marshalls in general tend to be that way... what else? Members 100 watt
My Marshalls are picky & "moody" .. but then again, they've been sodomized with a soldering iron so much, anything can throw them off.

Members Cliff Fiscal
any amp that lets me play though it, isn't very picky. real talk. My JTM seems to be the least picky. takes most pedals well, works with most speakers, pickups, guitars...etc..... My Matamp is picky as hell. Members Mike LX-R
All of my amps have been picky My Line 6 Flextone II was the most consistently bland amp I've ever played. It wasn't picky at all. No matter what you put in front, or put it through, it always sounded equally generic I'll say that for low volume recording it was actually a very useful amp with lots of usable sounds for that one very specific application. Members dxxcel
IMO it's very easy to get a 5150/6505 to sound good regardless of guitar, pickups, speakers, etc.Of course you have to like the 5150 sound to begin with...

Didn't you have a PV Classic 50 for awhile? It always seemed pretty easy to find the sweet spot on that amp, as well as the DSL's, regardless of speaks. Members diocide
My Ampeg Vh140c is pretty easy to dial in, like a lot of SS amp IMO. My Marshall 3203 is like that too.
Members "sasquatch"
50s/60s fender amps. never plugged a guitar into an original or reissue champ/tweed deluxe/bassman/deluxe,super,twin reverb that didn't sound like the guitar nor sounded like junk, cranked or clean. i think simpler circuits are less picky and let your guitar come through the amp more. need more? grab an OD/fuzz/dist pedal, which these amps take very, very well. Members Norton666
i agree 100% on the Laney. I absolutely hate that amp through G12T-75s but through Texas Heats , its alright. My most recent answer for an amp that isnt picky is the JSX. Sounds good no matter the guitar or speakers I pair it with.

Members atrox
My 2203 is very picky. My DSL, as you said, i can hook up to a oversized recto v30 cab (my least favorite cab and speaker ever) and it still sounds great.
Members HKSblade1
X100B! Would take a pedal board, Xt Live, Intellifex, gainiac, etc. I threw a ton of things on that amp and it just worked. My Marshall is a lot more selective. That's why I bought the Switchblade. Kind of an all in one solution to the above. It just is more of a compromise in the amp dept somewhat. Still good enough I use it.
Members colejustesen
Of the amps I have owned, the DSL and the JCM 900 MkIII have been the least picky. I am beginning to think the Egnater Tweaker is also not very picky too.Cole
