Members DARKMETL/ Posted January 6, 2013 Members Posted January 6, 2013 We were an old school crossover/thrash/punk band in 1990 (SOD, DRI, Agnostice Front etc) and we are getting back together for the first time as a full band in 22 years to open for DRI in february. SO, need some amp advice. I have a Mesa Triple Rec, Mesa .50 Cal, Marshall SLX, Laney Pro-Tube 100 and a Ampeg Vh140-C. I am conflicted on which to use. Would anyone like to suggest what to use????? Thanks!
Members guitarbilly74 Posted January 6, 2013 Members Posted January 6, 2013 I opened for DRI in '92 or '93, don't remember now... {censored}ing awesome guys to party with... but then again that was at least 20 years ago lol

Members guitarbilly74 Posted January 6, 2013 Members Posted January 6, 2013 as for amp advice, I'd go with the Laney Pro Tube or the Mesa Caliber... both are awesome amps for crossover...

Members mamberg Posted January 6, 2013 Members Posted January 6, 2013 I vote for the SL-X for that 90's vibe.

Members Rey Gato Posted January 6, 2013 Members Posted January 6, 2013 Out of those, I'd probably go SL-X.

Members DARKMETL/ Posted January 6, 2013 Author Members Posted January 6, 2013 Thanks, maybe I will try a couple at our first practice. I normally us 2 heads and 2 cabs but there won't be room for 2 cabs for me on the stage Ya think the Triple Rec would be a bad choice?
