Members Stackabones
Check it out. Cincy Groove: What advice would you give to somebody who wants to play the mandolin? David Grisman: Go for it, but be prepared to spend half your life tuning, and the other half being out of tune.
Members Queequeg
My favorite musician for 30 years now. Seen him in concert 3 times & met him twice. Best recording I have ever heard: (my copy is signed by Dawg)
Members Stackabones
I think that's supposed to my first Dawg music purchase, right?
Members simplygoodmusic
Love Grisman! His favourite collaboration was with Grappelli -no suprise there. He also loves the punch brothers, which I gotta whole heartedly agree with. And notice the picture of his quintet--thats Frank Vignola people! Members simplygoodmusic
Look at that picture of Frank with his Benedetto and David with his Giacomel. Anyone notice how similar they are?
Members Terry Allan Hall
I was groovin' to Mondo Mando today on my way back from this morning's NH gig...great stuff! Hearing DGQ in Friday's (anyone remember that show, or am I once again displaying Incipient Geezerliness? ) got me to pick the mandolin back up after not playing one for a few years.
