Members JMW14590
Hello newbie here. I have been looking round this forum for quite a while and found plenty of interesting discussions with a lot of pretty guitars to boot, Martin D-28's in particular. So I just thought I would say hi and hope everyone is well.
Members Crab_Cake
Let me be the first to welcome you. There are quite a few people from the UK here, we have Gary, Garthman, Jake7, Rick, and a few others.

Members NeverSayDai
Hello and welcome... There is not only a fair sub-set from the UK, there is even a sizeable Welsh sub-sub-set (not really relevant as you are Saes from Sussex;)). I like your Knopfler avatar... I am guessing blues as a genre, rather than gypsy jazz? Share more...
Members JMW14590
Awesome. Your guess is correct. Blues is one of my preferred genres. I am a big fan of MK, especially one of his performances from Wembley '85, namely 'Sultans of Swing'. Pure tone heaven from his Strat in my opinion. Although I don't restrict my tastes to one genre in particular, I'm also a fan of Andy McKee, Eric Roche and Tommy Emmanuel.

Members Pascal
Hi! Wait... you're not from across the pond.
Members JMW14590
'Across the pond' is often used as a slang term meaning from one side of the Atlantic Ocean to another, from the UK to the US or vice versa. Hope thats cleared up the confusion, Pascal. Also, thanks everyone for the welcome to the forum, it is very much appreciated.

Members Pascal
It's my modest, silly way of fighting americano-centrism on these boards. I do the same at work by jokingly calling all my colleagues "you foreigners". :poke: (as you guessed, I am a foreigner in this country)
