Whats the best treble sound youve heard.

If you mean that kind of ringing, singing, just sounds like it's got a ton of chrous to it then the GS330S that I have is awesome. Nothing I've played sounds like it. The Recording Kind 000 was close but just not quite. The Epi Masterbilt AJ500M also sounded great but not like the GS. For a $299 guitar I'd say that the Takamine GS330S is one of the best sounding guitars that I've ever heard and by reading the reviews on the Musician's Friend web site I'm not the only one. It's got to be the Cedar since I've had 7 other spruce top guitar(not counting the Regal RD-30 Resonator, that'd be 8 total) in the last couple years and this is the only one that I really love. Like I said, the RK RO-06 was close, the Yamaha FG720S was pretty good too but this Tak is awesome.

Hey, lighten-up. Try taking a few turns off the 'ole pucker string.

Mate I try, this is the second or third time Ive asked a question on tone to try and enable my practising to be more inspiring only to be flooded with sarcasm.

I can take a joke, sure I can, but no info or pointers as well, I just dont get it.

Not at all, I try and be as self deprecating as I can, I always say I dont know a lot, but try and pass on help Ive learnt from reading this forum.

First thing I did, when I got up (we are snowed in so cant go to work) was log in, heart racing, hoping for someone to say ;

Yeah try this Guild or that Taylor..whatever not all sarcasm.

Its no wonder Gary Palmer or Guitar Stringer dont post as much.

Thanks for trying to calm me down...appreciated.

You're idea of "porn" is hilarious. You don't deserve information. Please put me on ignore. I guess you can settle for Gary Palmer's misinformation via private messages.

Well that says just about everything I need to know about you, carry on with your (rather worrying) schoolgirl fetish....out.

Take it easy on us, man. we're musicians..er, some of us are.

I agree Louden gits have a bright treble, and are super responsive, but they don't come in under $2000 unless they're used.

Smaller guitars like 000 and 00 sizes, particularly those made with hog b&s will produce the best trebles. Rose enhances low-mids, hog enhances upper-mids.

Other things like non-scalloped braces, bridgepins and saddles made of hard material will also contribute to treble.

IMO, it's best to find a git that is well rounded to begin with, and experiment with saddles and so forth.

That being said, talking about tone enhancing around here can be dangerous, especially if one claims they can hear subtle differences.

a Crafter GAE-45N ... actually my Crafter GAE-45N ;) lol :

GAE-45N4.jpg

to be honest most Crafters I've played have had beautifully defined trebles - bright and lively is the best description. Plus we can get them this side of the pond :thu:

Another option is the 000 sized Crafter T-035 - a great little guitar, again, well worth a play if you're searching for definition and clarity.

Guitarcapo .... how do you work out that a qualified luthier with 30 odd years experience supplies "misinformation"? I have nothing against you GC but do stop the infantile digs at a guy that contributed massively to this forum and , lets face it, has a lot more experience than yourself and many others in building guitars. As I've said before, Gary has so much more knowledge than he's shared here - so wise up.
