Difference is if we put up such for {censored}s and giggles as you put it then we would get a ban

And you know this how, exactly? Do you have any evidence that Motorik is intentionally targeting people from this particular forum, and then looking for an excuse to ban them? Because that's exactly what you and others have been saying all this time, and I gotta tell you, it's a pretty heavy accusation to make against someone.

Stay classy.

The midst of battle is no place to be ladylike.

Upon its end, I will indeed put my dress back on, fill a flute with my fave champers, and chill out with my 12-er.

In the meantime, please excuse me while I go polish my sword, reload my Uzi, and strap another couple of grenades to my belt.

We know the posters in question and they did indeed do it for {censored}s & giggles, and were prepared to take their respective time-outs for it. Their comments ("Free the Garthman" and "Cover me guys, I'm going in") made that pretty evident. However, the mod chose to ignore one poster's {censored}s & giggles, not regarding it at a taunt or defiance, while penalizing others for the same. Whichever forum they came from is moot.

Unfortunately, it's apparent by the subsequently escalating bans that this mod sees their actions not as fun poking for {censored}s & giggles, but as defiance of his authority. Seems he got his knickers in a right twist over it.

OTOH, I think mods such as Frets99 (and others) would probably have seen what was going on and made some sort of post to the effect of "okay, guys, you've had your fun, but enough is enough". (Of course, I can't begin to phrase that with the eloquence characteristic of Frets99). The issue would have no doubt ended right then and there, with no hard feelings at all.

Additionally, what was the point of tacking another few days to Garthman's sentence because of a post made by someone else? Patently unfair!!!

Motorik doesn't "put up as he wishes". He follows the rules, just like everybody else. Only difference now is that several people in this forum are now going through his posts, and picking out the bits they don't approve of. If you're looking for a scapegoat, you will find one, and apparently, our lupine-loving friend has now become your scapegoat.

As for Motorik he intentionally targeted myself one time after banning me before

when yes doh me being new at time didnt read the rules..

he Motorik also went out of himself to cruise the Acoustic Guitar forum looking out

and hoping to see a post i put up so as to ban me again and banned me again

a 2nd time

BUT difference is with Motorik banning people is he does so with the words he used to myself "Take That"

i mean he is very abrupt in the way he goes about his Moderating when he does ban people..

Also how come he comes onto AG forum to do such as he is the Mod on your GJ forum

my posts have always only been on the acoustic guitar forum as personally ive never been on GJ forum..

As for the guy being banned for putting an LPs cover up is to me really out of order

as we are all Adults crikey weve seen it all..it isnt porn and only a naked woman

ive never even seen the album yet but not caring to look WHY its only a naked woman

sais to be on the front of the album CRIKEY i see more in my local Scottish Newspapers

on a daily basis..this is an Adult site isnt it ?

Or is it only the GJ site which is teenagers only.. just asking ?

Don't lie to him. You know deep in your heart that you fear the awesome wrath of our dark overlord just as much as I do.

Do you know how utterly laughable that image makes you? Real Wiccans, Witches, and practitioners of Pagan Arts refer to folks like you as Fluff Bunnies.

So tell me, how does it feel to be a Fluff Bunny?

You still don't get it? It's not a question about whether or not it's porn, it's about what can be perceived as inappropriate in a work place, and a picture of a bunch of naked women can indeed cause some unwanted situations at someone's office. It wasn't a big deal, but people have turned it into a big deal by refusing to let it go. First by not respecting the rules of the forum, then not respecting the moderator's wishes, then turning this whole thing into a witch hunt.

As for the first part of your post, I'm afraid I didn't understand what you were getting at, sorry.

He doesn't put up anything against the rules of that forum. Really. FYI, he's not some 15 year old kid from Wisconsin, he's well over 30 and from the UK. He's enforcing the rules that have been in place since before I joined in 2004.

Note: I lived in Wisconsin for 14 years and can talk bad about it. ;)

For those of you who are wondering what sort of BS this dickweed is posting now, here's a translation:

"Sofia, have you some comments to your accusations about that Julian Assange has tried to rape you?"

Uhm, this is someone posting under a false identity, or do you really believe that a key witness in the trial against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange just happened to join Harmony Central to badmouth Guitar Jam?

If I may direct your attention to legal precedents and potential issues from nude pictures:

"A female shipyard welder who accused her employer of sexual harassment has won a groundbreaking ruling that posting pictures of nude and partly nude women is a form of sexual harassment.

While rulings in other cases have found that pornographic pictures may contribute to an atmosphere of sexual harassment, the new decision is thought to be the first finding that such pictures are, in and of themselves, harassment.

The judge, Howell Melton, of Federal District Court in Jacksonville, Fla., found on Friday that Jacksonville Shipyards Inc. and two of its employees were directly liable for the harassment. He rejected what he called the company's "ostrich defense" that it was unaware of many of the complaints made by the plaintiff, Lois Robinson.

Judge Melton said the shipyard, where Ms. Robinson has worked since 1977, maintained a boys' club atmosphere with an unrelenting "visual assault on the sensibilities of female workers," including pinup calendars and close-ups of women's genitals posted on the walls. He said the sexualized atmosphere of the workplace had worked to keep women out of the shipyard. New Policy Is Ordered

"A pre-existing atmosphere that deters women from entering or continuing in a profession or job is no less destructive to and offensive to workplace equality than a sign declaring "men only," the opinion said.

Judge Melton ordered the shipyard to institute a comprehensive sexual harassment policy written by the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund, the New York-based women's advocacy group that brought the case.

Eric Holshouser, a lawyer for the shipyard, said the company had no comment on the decision, or any possible appeal. But at the trial, the company said it had not known of all of Ms. Robinson's complaints and presented expert witnesses to testify that the pictures would not create substantial harm or offense to the average woman. In addition, the company said that since 1980 it had a policy prohibiting abuse of dignity through sexist slurs. But the court found that the policy was ineffective and that many employees were unaware of it.

The courts have previously ruled that sexual harassment in the workplace is a form of illegal sex discrimination, forbidden by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Women's rights lawyers hailed the Florida case as an important advance for women in construction jobs that have customarily been held by men."

Fretfiend: He aimed that directly at you. I think he's threatening to take you to court if you look at any more pictures of boobs on the internet.

Are you going to take that from him?

At the very least, I'd throw a TAUNT or two in his direction.

It's your basic human right to surf the internet for pictures of boobs.

Don't worry. I've got your back. They won't take us alive.
