Do any of you fellow geezers remember Nashville Straights strings

You know...the strings that were packaged in a long box instead of being coiled packaged? I think 1977-81?

 

There is a string guage thread and some dude uses 8's...I think of Nashville Straights whenever someone mentions 8's.

Yeah your right...I can't think of the brand name either....anyway now that I think back about them, I bet the box cost more to mfr than the strings themselves.

 

I used the Nashville Straights 8's...they were lifeless within a few days.

I never tried the Straights, 'cause they wouldn't fit in my guitar case!! I thought that was the dumbest idea ever...haha, hadn't thought about them in years!

I remember buying Dan Armstrong strings that started with a .07.

Each pack had extra E and B strings. Wonder why?

I have used them,I thought,at the time they were pretty good strings.at the time was using 009s they put a 017 for the "G" I thought that was cool.No need to buy two sets.

I used them they were good strings. Musician Friend sell 10 packs of individual strings that come in log plastic bags like the Nashville straights.
