Members curseoftruth
The Fender TC-90 Thinline is another you need to take a look at. For under $500, the PRS SE Soapbar II Maple rocks the world. I of course like the Gibson SG Classic, which I own. $850...
Members weatherboy
Gotta go with the Godin LG, only I'm not big on the SD pups, I got Lollars in mine.

If you play with slightest bit of heavy hand the Fender TC-90 is easily pulled out of tune. Neck joint is not real strong.

Members weatherboy
The Les Paul double cuts sound good, but the quality on them is hit or miss.

I have a gold LG (love the neck) and while I thought the SD SP90s sounded great, I can't take the noise on certain higher gain amp models on my PODxt/Bose PAS. I can take some single coil pain but not THAT much. I'm awaiting some Dimarzio Virtual P90s to drop in. I'm gonna keep the stock Godin 350K pots for now. I may switch to some Gibson 500K and change out the cap. We'll see how it sounds first.

Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted March 1, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2006 It took me another thread and some rereading of this thread to implant the word "Agile" in my head. Very very nice guitars, but not available in UK:confused: Bloody why? Anyway, I've decided on this one: http://www.rondomusic.net/ad2300jr.html although the yellow makes me a bit warm in the pants, I've been safe and gone for the natural one. Its getting sent to Canada, where my cousin will bring it from in July. Bugger the system, lets get what we want. Sean
