Members Ernest Buckley
Hello Folks, I couldn`t get to the show this year, however I did hear there was nothing major with the exception of PT7 (which really isn`t major). So for those who did go, was there something that caught your eye? I`m starting to think we are very close to perfection in the audio world. I mean what else can possibly come out that will blow our minds? With the exception of a brain to software interface, nothing is really "Wowing" me. Members Ernest Buckley
Craig, Thats fine, I just thought it was interesting that there were no MAJOR pieces of gear and was wondering if we have come up to a wall. The DAW has pretty much taken over every studio in the world from closet musician to the pros. Sample rates and bits are extremely high and the sound is great. What else is there that could be produced that would become the next must have piece? For example, the ADATs turned heads. Anything on the horizon? Gus Lozada
... there's something new they are calling "analog tape". ... and some new hiss-producing plug-ins for added realism. Remember the rules of tehcnological developments: - Make it Faster- Make it easier- Make it cheaper Having all major DAW software under a thousand bucks, it seems we're about a new technological break soon. What that might be?

What that might be? Hmmmm.... maybe "make it sound better"?
