Members Hoddy Posted May 13, 2007 Members Share Posted May 13, 2007 Last month I sold my Epi Casino to a fellow in Ct. and I sent it out by US Mail on May 1st. I also had delivery confirmation and insurance. The guitar still hasn't arrived and all the delivery confirmation shows is that it was accepted at the Dallas, Ga. Post Office on May 1st...nothing else. I've went to the post office on Friday and they gave me a form to fill out for lost mail. Thankfully the buyer has been very understanding. We have to wait 21 days from the original delivery day before an insurance claim can be filed. How the hell can the USPS lose something the size of a guitar. I work in the medical business, and alot of people won't accept UPS or FedEx, just mail. We lose so much money (and time and effort) trying to recoup lost test strips and various other supplies. I do dozen's of Ebay deals, mostly as a buyer and have never had a problem with the mail delivering my stuff until lately. I've had nothing but problems with them over the last few years; damaging, loosing, taking weeks to get to the destination and virtually no tracking capability. As bad as UPS and FedEx can be, they're a thousand times better at shipping larger, more fragile items such as guitars and amps. Members RockRocket Posted May 13, 2007 Members Share Posted May 13, 2007 USPS is great for international shipping, i'm always getting stuff from USA via USPS, never lose anything and it always arrives intact in the estimated delivery time , for some reason when it comes from Florida i even receive in a lot less time than the estimate, if the estimated is 10 days i receive in about 4 days.. The seller said he had shipped it shortly after the sale. I still haven't gotten it yet, it's been two weeks! Should I be worried yet? I'm starting to get worried that its lost in the mail.
