That looks a lot better. How does it play?

 

 

Thanks, hard to believe what a little cleaning and rewiring will do.

 

It plays really well. The action and neck relief are perfect. I did have to reglue and sand a couple inlays, but otherwise it was just cosmetics and electronics needed. I knew it needed work when JJ went to get it, so the only concern was that it play really well.

 

I sorta used your pristine stratotone as a guide for the switch and knob styles.

That looks great! Floating bridges with a trapeze tailpiece can make for a very resonant guitar. Stew-mac has a tuneomatic style floater that might work on that if you want to get more exacting with the intonation.

 

Did you cut that pickguard? A little chunk of leftover material might work as a truss rod cover.

 

Nice work...I'll bet that thing sings with that filtertron!
