i'm guessing most of us are not fortunate enough to be able to make our money hangin' round in bars playing guitar (hell, i'm happy i'm fortunate enough to be able to SPEND my money that way!) so what do you do everyday to pay for that bloodsucking, mortgage-raising, creditcard destroying hobby of ours?

i'll start off:

i am a consultant for a software company that develops tailored software for the government. my job is to analyse the workprocesses and translate that to a businessmodel. apart from that, i train people in the use and maintenance of our products.

i work troughout the entire country, fortunately for me, our country is only 200 by 400 km ;) when i'm doing a project somewhere, i often stay in hotels. that way, i get a chance to check out a lot of local bands from out of my own region.

I'm the lead tech for a boutique Mazda rotary specialist. We focus on developing forced induction products for the RX-8, something we're #1 at, which is cool. We also work on a small number of 3rd gen RX-7s for local customers, which I enjoy. No two days are the same. I do everything from building our ECU and fabricating/building our other products to installing our turbo kits and anything else the customers/boss dreams up. My background was in German autos (BMW & Mercedes, occasional Audi/VW/Porsche).

Studying... I'm rather young so I have not even started university yet... still in college (Canberra's whacky education system= primary school, high school, college, uni). Hope to study political science and journalism/communications. That or pursue a barista career. Coffee obsessed (not gay oversized starbucks either!!!)

Nice one, I am a big RX fan, I have owned an original RX3 sedan (rare as rocking horse s**t), also a 1st gen (series 3) with heavily modified series 5 running gear - 450 whp. Lots of fun, but took its toll in speeding tickets and gasoline! Rotaries are very popular in New Zealand and Australia.
