Members Carbohydrates
Can you get a G&L Comanche for $1500? I'm selling one for considerably less, so yeah, you can if you go used.

Members Carbohydrates
Maybe the OP is interested. Perhaps, if he's willing to play it upside-down! He's a lefty!

Members aliensporebomb
My Soloist is a decent rock guitar but it doesn't really have the strat thing down so much as this one does: That has the woody single coil modes much more than my SL2 which is H-H and sounds more like a jazz guitar in some modes than a stratocaster. Members DavidMgT
In that range I would also say a G&L Legacy or an S-500.
Members DavidMgT
I've played quite a few G&L's, and I could never dig the necks. They always felt very bulky and awkward to me, but I don't know why. The necks didn't seem to be too thick or anything, they just didn't feel right in my hands, and these are various ASATs, Legacys, and a Comanche. They sound and look nice though, so they are still worth checking out if you get the chance. They have several types of necks. Not all of them are bulky. My ASAT Bluesby has a 7 1/2" radius, the same as a 52 tele, my ASAT Deluxe has a 12". my ASAT Special a 12" V shape, and my Legacy and Comanche each have 12" necks - same as a Strat. Out of all of them, my favorite is the 12" V shape of the ASAT Special.
