Members Davgar97
Well today I got my second Gibson, a 2008 Les Paul Standard, and I couldn't be more happy with it. The new asymmetrical neck profile is a bit strange to start with but once you get used to it then it's really nice to play. Also, the Plek setup is perfect, very tempeted to get my Les Paul Classic Pleck'd now. This is it now, no more NGD until 2010... Probably... Members twotimingpete
really nice looking. love the finish. I sometimes talk tough about better value being from korea etc, and maybe it is, but I still have the ability to turn into a little girl when looking at a nice gibson. Members Davgar97
Congrats!!! Nice guitar...how do you find the chambered body? Does it still do the LP thing...i'm guessing you must think it does or you wouldn't have bought it! All the same gorgeous guitar!! Thanks for the comment. The chambered body doesn't seem to have made that much of a change to the classic 'LP sound' and it's still fairly heavy considering. But I'm sure there's some LP purists who will be very opposed to the whole chambering thing! I wasn't too sure about the chambering to start with and I almost ended up buying a Traditional but this Standard won me over in the end, even though the Traditional is a very nice guitar, shame I couldn't afford both!
