  1. Looks interesting albeit specialist. I'm sure as well being interesting to guitarists it will also have a place as a 'case study' in business schools.
  2. Thinking back to the old days when Branson took a risk on Mike Oldfield and boy, how that paid dividends. There is so much interesting stuff out there that doesn't get airtime but gets my attention. Here's one I found yesterday and bought the album on the strength of it, "Pictures" by Trwbador, a welsh duo. http://youtu.be/7LNg49ypbg0
  3. As someone who now has tinnitus for several years and a huge dip above 2 khz I look back regretting my belief that it wouldn't happen to me. It did. Now the rest of my life will sound like the morning after a loud gig with a constant ringing and cutlery sounding like it's made of wood Take Phil's advice
  4. In my case 15 years back it was my 1960s Hagstrom (to pay the mortgage) I should have sold the Les Paul instead because it would have been totally replaceable when better times returned, The Hagstrom not so much.Lesson learned keep the rarest not the most expensive Similar to the one being very ably demonstrated here (after a suspect start) [video=youtube_share;YbkpJGqkRko] What was yours? (the financially fortunate with large houses who 'keep everything' need not reply )
  5. 9-42 and it behaves remarkably well. Then again I don't use the bar extensively, just palm it for a gentle vibrato.
  6. Yep Missouri seems to be the hub of all things JDS http://jedistar.com/jds-guitars/ apart from one reference to 2 ex Larrivee guitar builders in British Columbia https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78815
  7. It Happened Today - Curved air [video=youtube_share;BdmSLTfhuwQ]
  8. Since these caps are on the mains supply lines presumably you are damping hum for the whole neighborhood right?
  9. I don't do it. You start naming them and before you know it the want alimony when you sell them.
  10. Its a bit like a tattoo, you might want to change it when you are sitting in a little bed-sit after the split
  11. I'm sure there are people out there who name their cutlery, I'm not one of them. Since I only have one of each the guitars are called by their proper names, The Westone, The Hondo or The Yamaha. etc' I did toy with calling the Fender Leo and the LP Les but I thought naming was a bit sad and gave the idea up before habit set in. However if Orianthi asked me to come over and help her name her PRS I would be enthusiastic and give it my best creative shot, could take a long dinner though
