Members Chordite
As an engineer everything says NO about this audacious design. Did they survive OK and hold tune or did they break along the grain where instinct tells me to expect? Anybody got one? pic credit : http://www.myrareguitars.com http://guitarz.blogspot.co.uk/2011/09/alvarez-dana-scoop-ae650trw-mid-1990s.html
Members Bucksstudent
I had an Alvarez Tele, which was about on par with a Squier Standard, and made in Korea.
Members sammyreynolds01
I've never read about people having problems with the guitar. but to me it just doesn't look right.
Members DeepEnd
As the late Curly Howard would say, "Ngong!" I have a '95 Alvarez bass that seems to be okay but that design is just wrong. Probably great for accessing those last few frets but yeah, in terms of durability, I'll pass.
