On Tuesday, June 8, 2004, the first "transit of Venus" since December 6, 1882 took place. In just over six hours, between 1:13 A.M. EDT and 7:35 A.M. EDT, the disk of Venus passed in front of the Sun perceived, by those who could see it, as little more than a black dot silhouetted against the Sun's bright glow.

Wonder if it made a lot of people blind after that... :)

There was a rash of blindness in both 1882 and 2004, but it was thought to be related to another activity while contemplating feminine beauty.

(Actually the study was done in 1954 looking back at the 1882 event and predicted problems in 2004 and 2012)

Here's a hottie for ya.

Gus, thatvgirl is of legal age, she is is circa 26'000 years old. Is known as "Venus of Willendorf," or also as the Woman of Willendorf. Discovered in a paleolithic site near Willendorf, a village in Austria.

Mama mia, I should dig too. Recently a neighbour found this 2000 years old gold bust of Marc Aurele when he renovated his water supply.

I have actually been to music hell and returned to tell about it. Not once, not twice, but thrice I have played an all Sousa show. It was....it's just...I mean...

Hang on a second while I get the PTSD calmed down

So there was this little guy dressed up like Sousa and he thinks he is Sousa and somebody idiot gave him a baton and....

Just a minute. I got bugs crawling all over me.

4 and a half hours of Solid Gold Sousa.

Way to make a grown man cry. Hot dog appetizer, hot dog salad with hot dog dressing, hot dog stew, minced hot dog pie with hot dog ice cream, and a hot dog flavor appertif. :freak:
