Members Rudolf von Hagenwil
On Tuesday, June 8, 2004, the first "transit of Venus" since December 6, 1882 took place. In just over six hours, between 1:13 A.M. EDT and 7:35 A.M. EDT, the disk of Venus passed in front of the Sun perceived, by those who could see it, as little more than a black dot silhouetted against the Sun's bright glow. Members philbo
I always felt bad for J.P.Souza - - try as he might to write a good tune, everything he composed had excessively high vacuum value. IMHO.

Members Beck
Wonder if it made a lot of people blind after that... There was a rash of blindness in both 1882 and 2004, but it was thought to be related to another activity while contemplating feminine beauty. (Actually the study was done in 1954 looking back at the 1882 event and predicted problems in 2004 and 2012)

Hang on a second while I get the PTSD calmed down So there was this little guy dressed up like Sousa and he thinks he is Sousa and somebody idiot gave him a baton and.... Just a minute. I got bugs crawling all over me. 4 and a half hours of Solid Gold Sousa. Way to make a grown man cry.
