I've started my building venture by buying used instruments, refurbishing and reusing the necks, recycled the stock electronics, built new bodies to my taste.

I'm not much of a player, plinker is more like it, so my approach to building comes from woodworking experience. I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Still haven't figured out Image shack but at least I can offer a link to some photos, at http://picasaweb.google.com/huggerbearster/BearwrxGuitars12707652PM

Thanks for taking a look ,I'll keep at the uploading.

archiemax, that is crazy cool! what do all those thumb screws do?? I'm going to go bend something right now!!

Thanks for your interest, Rad--(actually they're thumb NUTS)--The two furthest-back lock down the adjusting screws that determine the "down" position of each lever and therefore the pitch of the second and third strings. This is set up in open E (E-B-E-G#-B-E low to high) so bending the 2nd up a whole step and the 3rd a half takes you from I to IV--a very characteristic pedal steel sound. Got the idea for this from back when I was using a Hipshot on my old Gretsch, playin' in a country band. The four forward thumbnuts allow you to swing the arms back out of the way so you've got a conventional lap that you can palm-mute, like this:
