"He did receive a check in the mail last week for $50,000," said Sharon Riolo, Irwin's sister. "That frightened him. All of the sudden it became a little bit scary." I was thinking more along the lines of a faked disappearance (perhaps to evade a collapsing house of cards lifestyle) rather than a paranoid breakdown, but there was just something about the description of the phone call... ... and what kind of savvy music biz professional would fall for the Nigerian Scam -- of all things?
