Just an observation.

I miss some technical discussions and music-related topics:confused:

Can we together in New Year just get back on track? It's Sound, Studio and Stage Forum, after all.

Hmm. I thought it was a "virtual party for musicians".

That can be many things to many people I suppose.

Of course, if you see a thread title you think is dopey you can always decline to click on it.

If you check, most of my recent threads are sound, studio, or stage material. The recent flood of threads by me was to try and refocus the forum on the sound, studio, and stage.

And the truth is, all those threads may have been started by me, but they have been kept going by the members of the forum. I'm still confused that you didn't see my recent threads as an attempt to get back to music and technical discussions. ???

I'll admit to a slight rise in enjoyment of participating here, because of them.

But then again, people seem perpetually entertained by nonsensical sorts of threads. Including me sometimes. If we start threads about micing drums or whatever, they quickly fall off the page.

Aren't you the one who started the "Make EB change his avatar" thread?

Just an observation.

I love to joke and get into all sorts of weird humor, but I would rather see the forum in a good state of balance.

And the fact is offramp and some other forum members have stated concerns that I take seriously...some of our best contributers drift away to other forums.

I rant and rave all the time, so I'm not opposed to some complaining. I think maybe he wandered in here, and just saw my name all over the place and assumed that it was the usual bad haiku and such...

I appreciate that the Stranger and a handful of others are keeping the forum alive during a bit of a lull in participation.

I'm more guilty than anyone else here of creating posts you might consider OT, but I do enjoy discussing other things in life with all of you besides technicalities in the music industry. The OJ type forums tend to be a lot more wacked and not nearly as appealing as it is here. SSS has a wide variety of intelligent people with a large diversity of opinions and I find that great.

If we need to stay on topic, just say the word.

I've done nothing but talk sound and studio for the last 48 hours. So, I'm trying to bring some more "added value" here, people.

I honestly think temnov doesn't mean any harm or ill will towards me, or I'm sure he would have noted it previously. I'm just assuming he has only seen the one side of the stranger, so a deluge of my contributions could be too strange., if he has a limited picture of my contributions.

We're gonna show temnov that I ain't no one trick pony.

My favorite part of the forum is when somebody wanders up in here and has a question and we get that person answers, in depth and fast. This is the place for answers. It doesn't matter if it's audio or not. We are the information warriors that can't be rivaled by any web presence.

Oh, I got it! I really didn't mean to harm the stranger. I like reading all the OT stuff, "it's nice". And btw I asked Mr. Earnest to change his avator because it was distracting me from reading all this.
