Uh, thanks, Philbo...kinda missed the qualifications, though.

FWIW, for those inclined to not view the contestants, the idea's to evaluate/contrast the 2 "troublemakers" (you'll see).

I'm really not an Elvis fan, but his was more interesting.

And the Pink video was just annoying.

More like it...but "just annoying"...does that give her the edge in making trouble ?

Okay, I quite liked both videos, never seen either one of them but very familiar with both artists. What was up with Elvis doing that limp wrist thing? Kinda weird. Anyway, I'll give this competition to Pink, she's one of the few current day artists I like a lot. Elvis was singing below his range most of the song and didn't shine until he did the transaction going up an octave. Guess I like Pink being manly better than Elvis being girly.

Weird Tech, I try and send links to a best friend in England and she can't get youtubes either???

Not sure if this will solve that since I don't encounter that dilemma & haven't checked into it but since YTube has option for different countries in it's pages, maybe y'gotta select from the proper page.

This version slays both of them.

Maybe (to each his own & all) ...

I liked the ripping gtr part, except that ludicrous downward cascade abt 2:32.

Who's Bernie, Mel's son ?

Frankly, the rest o'the cats were a bit "paint-by-the-numbers" (well, the vocalist was OK, though subdued in presentation---a song like that needs some facial mugging or somethin', eh ?).

That was pretty cool, and I always thought Ian was the best Jesus back in the 70's. One of the few guys who could give Plant a run for his money in that singing style.

I agree, Gillan has always been a favorite of mine. I actually prefer him over Plant who I find could be a tad screetchy at times (but still a killer singer).
