  1. Nice score! That's a really pretty guitar! Probably going to sell once my Agile get's here. I just couldn't pass it up. Plus our PA head just blew
  2. I'll take HZs over Duncan Designs, V7s / V8s, or any other mid-range guitar pickup. They're not EMG actives, but they definitely hold their own and get the job done. Of course I'd take a Seymour Duncan JB over an a HZ (I'm not fond of actives). But if you're buying a Jackson with a JB (or EMG actives) in it, expect to pay 30% more for the axe. Like I said, compare those HZs to Duncan Designs and V7/V8 (notably in Ibanez RG series) and you'll be blown away by the difference. I'd have to disagree. Both my older Jackson with Duncan Designed, and an Ibanez with V7s sounded WAY BETTER. I'm not a fan of the HZ or EMGs or covered pickups in general honestly.
  3. That's one hell of a bargain. Nice find! Yeah, don't change those pickups unless you hate them. They're totally underrated pickups. They don't have much of a crunchy sound for being EMGs in a supposedly Metal Guitar.
  4. Nice score! Yeah, he told me 125 yesterday. And I was like damn, I just paid for something else. But I had a bit of cash, and I COULD NOT pass it up for that price. And you know what, it shreds!!!!
  5. Looks to me like a SLSMG Super Lightweight Soloist: http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/products.php?group=Soloist-Body&page=1&product=2910104803 This neck is a bolt on. It says neck through on the site.
  6. It's an old SLSMG model with with passive EMGs (CHANGE IMMEDIATELY) in what appears to be an amber sunburst finish. They are fine for now. This isn't going to be my regular playing guitar, it's just for trying out other tunings for songs. If and when extra cash comes, there will be EMG81 and 85 put in most likely.
  7. A local mom/pa shop near me offered me this for 125 because I have bought a lot off of him in the past. I do not know what model it is, can anyone give some hints? Thanks and have a good day everyone Agile is on it's way too
  8. Bump for a great guitar, my dad has the red one with gold pickups.
