  1. Original versions came with hard case. They dropped the price $100 and now you get gig bag. EG
  2. Richmond Belmont Features: The Richmond line of guitars are the newest creations from the visionary guitar makers at Godin. These beautiful instruments borrow design elements from classic styles of the 1950's, but as we've come to expect from Godin, they've put their own spin on things. The Belmont has an immediately familiar shape but closer inspection reveals a truly unique guitar. The build quality is outstanding and the guitar has a very solid feel to it. At approximately 7.5 lbs it's not a lightweight instrument but it's very well balanced and the body is quite ergonomic. The bolt on mahogany neck provides great sustain with a some nice snap as well. The neck profile is a bit like a late 50's Les Paul but just a touch thinner. The roller type bridge design is especially nice and makes the guitar very comfortable to pick at the bridge position. One of the best things about the Belmont is the pickup arrangement. The Seymour Duncan lipstick pickups have a very warm and creamy sound while the '59 in the bridge give you plenty of PAF style bite! It's a great configuration that combined with a 5 way switch offers a huge variety of tone. If you're looking for an extremely well made North American guitar that has a little vintage vibe without the usual names on the headstock, check out a Richmond! This is a brand new "B-Stock" guitar (Please read below about B Stock) and comes with the deluxe gigbag and Full Factory warranty. Godin B-Stock factory blem instruments are a great way to get a top quality guitar at a great discount! This guitar normally sells for $995.00. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call! About B Stock: This is a B-Stock or factory blemished guitar. It is not a return or refurbished instrument and it is not used. Almost without exception the blemishes we see from Godin are nearly imperceptible in the form of minor hazing or scuffing on the finish, or very small drip in the finish near the output jack plate. These blemishes are always very very minor and can save you hundreds of dollars on your purchase! We inspect each B-Stock extensively before we ship and guarantee that you will be satisfied with your purchase with our 7 day no questions asked return policy effective the day that you receive your shipment. If you have any questions about the nature of these "B" Stock instruments please give us a call! About the Belmont: For those about to rock, we give you the Richmond Belmont. The Belmont packs a full gamut of classic rock muscle into its incredibly resonant solid mahogany body. This 24
  3. I just love how the same people who attacked me two days ago are doing such a fine job of taking up my argument for me. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. EG
  4. Sorry frets, your "pointed jab" of a personal attack was just that. And pretty undignified for a moderator to do. Next time you're in a restaurant and the waiter gets personal with you because they disagree with your choices, I'll wager that you find the manager pretty quickly and complain. We can disagree all we want but the personal stuff is uncalled for...particularly from a moderator. EG
  5. I've compared BG Pure 90s to GFS mean 90s. The difference, both in terms of clarity and noise, is notable. The BG is a superior product. I made a simple statement that GFS pickups are not in the same league with a boutique pickup. You can argue that boutique pickups, Duesenbergs or any other boutique gear is overpriced. I'll agree with you. But there is a difference. Anyone who refuses to admit that is as much a fanboi as the one who refuses to touch anything that doesn't say custom shop on it. Myself? I don't pay boutique prices as I feel they are priced with vanity in mind but I'm honest enough to admit I can hear the difference. Sorry, but I don't see people lining up to give advice to people telling them to put GFS in their Fender custom shop guitars. EG
  6. Bonenut...lovely how you can take every side of an issue. You're never wrong! Now we'll attack people for misusing a word? Let's make this personal. Ratae....you just made the EXACT same point I made. EG
  7. search in amongst your posts?... i'd be here for a month unless you're talking clips posted here or on youtube etc.... i don't believe you Google is your friend. If you are that obsessed with my {censored}ty playing, go to soundclick and find me there. It's not hidden. Believe what you want. I know two people locally with GFS equipped guitars. I have played them. Like I said, they're fine for what they are. They sound just like Epi pickups. EG
  8. I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you Mr. Frodo! Speaking of which...frets, your pup seems to be off his leash again.
  9. Wow just pull the cork out of your nose & breath, it may clear your head! There are no guitars worth $4000. There are idiots that pay 4k for guitars but they have no standards. Me with a cork? Dude, I have three guitars, the most expensive of which was $369. Many Duesenbergs, which is what we are talking about, go well over that mark. EG
  10. I put em up. I can take em down. They're all quoted anyway. Mr Sully, maybe you didn't get my pm. If you want my clips, be around when I post them or go look for them. I never took issue with disagreement. I disagree with people all the time but when a moderator, in an erroneous assumption, jumps my ass, I'm going to correct him. Frets wants to assume I'm basing my opinion on price tag. I'm basing it on reality. And, yes, I have heard GFS pickups. They sound just like Epi or Ibanez or Squier pickups. They're good but not great. Would any of you honestly tell this guy to yank the pups out of his Fender custom shop guitar in favor of those? That's a pretty fair analogy here. Clique? Please. I'm the biggest {censored}ing nerd on this board. please find one member of this board I've ever ragged on. Hell, I'm the guy coming in to take the heat off guitarmike when the herd jumped his ass about being a goofy 15 year old kid for crying out loud. EG
  11. Absolutely. That's why they are standard in all $4000 guitars now. EG
  12. Son, he was not ganged up on. He also did not simply suggest expensive pickups. Read the posts one after the other. In my experience there has always been more than one way to skin a cat. To assume that the only way to do it right costs a lot of money is silly and shortsighted. And I stand firmly behind what I said. And I never said don't buy them because they are cheap. The price tag has nothing to do with it. Seriously. WTF? Are you incabable of comprehension? EG
  13. now where did i leave my {censored}sauce? It's right here under the poncho. EG
  14. +1 for Meowy. All parts as advertised and quick shipping despite a snowstorm. Thanks! EG
  15. Well, it's a Silvertone, but, yeah, it was made by Harmony in 1947. Here's a cleaner example of the model. EG
  16. This one was in pieces when I got it. The back was split in half, the top was in three pieces, neck off, etc. The before pics were lost. EG
  17. Wow. Never heard that before. I'm shocked! EG
