Members archiemax
Looks like a well-used Lester, but your PRS looks mighty fine too........
Members headless
I know absolutely nothing about the relative value of those instruments, but I would part with that Single-Cut only to pay the ransom money to my childrens' kidnappers. Members ten56gibby
Tough call. But I'd probably do it. But I'm not really a PRS fan, so there's a bit of bias there.

Members RaVenCAD
I wouldn't do it personally.. I have no logical reason other than I don't like that LP..
Members -Assy-
i say keep the PRS, its probably a better axe all around due to the fact that it doesnt have 30-40 years of god knows what happened to it.

I agree. Plus, the early 70s weren't exactly the golden years at Gibson.
Members Darkmavis
me too, should i hold out for another vintage paul? or will i not get one? i rrelly want a classic paul...i can just feel its the guitar for me
Members Ryan Trevisol
I don't like that finish. At all. If it were aged like an iced tea burst, I'd say yeah. But Clownburst disqualifies it.

Members Darkmavis
to be honest i hate the stigma attached to it, you get off stage and people assume your some guy with too much money :poke: its a great guitar but i just know that a vintage lp is the way to go, it just dont 'feel' right y'know? it sounds great n all and is good to play but its never felt like my old paul (stolen ) thats why ...... Members Mrrikki
If its what you want and you feel that strong then just do it! Personally looks wise I prefer the PRS out of the 2.
Members Superrust
I wouldn't do it. The deluxe would have had mini humbuckers in it. Was it routed to fit the full size. If you are looking for a classic LP look on the *Bay. They're always on there and usually not as worn in as this one.
Members Darkmavis
If you like the guitar.....get it. Members Inspector 71
I'd keep the PRS. That's the only kind of PRS I would get.So that's how you spell swop
Members flummox
I think the PRS is a lot more guitar. Maybe you should compromise and look for a nice 90s Standard - less money, better instrument.

Members WALL-E
I'd have to go with the "don't do it" camp. I'm not a huge PRS fan but I'd rather have that fine example than a beat to death modded 70's Deluxe. The time period was dodgey for Gibson and it's been modded...how well was the mod done? Significant routing? Unless the guitar absolutely screams to you that it is "the one" I wouldn't do it. And even if it did that...I'd sell the PRS and use the cash to buy the LP...you might have some left over.
