Members ESchmidt
Hey everyone. My friend has an extra MIM deluxe strat neck laying around. I want to buy it to put on a squier. Will this work or are the neck piockets different sizes? Thanks!

Members ugameus
I tried putting a fender licensed neck on a squier body. The pocket fit but the holes were a little off. I would take your body to your buddies and make sure the neck fits before giving up cash for it.
Members Artslinger
I would buy that MIM deluxe strat neck even if it doesn't fit the Squier. If the smaller nut and 21 fret is no problem, the newer MIM deluxe necks are really nice and as good or better then your average MIA neck. You can pickup a nice MIM body on eBay for $50-$100. Members chrispscott
For the most part they do. You may need to do a little sanding or shimming just due to differences in factory work. The screw holes may not line up either but that's an easy fix with some wood glue and dowel rods.
Members mdintx
If the Squier body is one of the Affinity Series, the neck may be too thick and sit high. I recall a guy posting about having to sand a MIM series neck down for an Affinity Butterscotch tele.
