Any time the wife gives me grief about having too many guitars, I can always bring these up and say, "Darling, it could be a LOT worse!" (Actually, I shouldn't complain. I bought one those from Rudy's (NYC) for $1K and the other for $500.00 from Norm's Music (Bklyn,NY). If I can get another for $500.00 w/original case, I'd do it. Did you find a solution? Yeah. I have some plastic clamps that are made for speaker covers that hold them down super tight. I picked them up at a place here in Toronto called Active Surplus... they pretty much have tons of random stuff from amp hardware to dall parts . My 4x12 also has the speaker covers and thy're held down by the original metal speaker clamps but I couldn't find anything like them when building my 2x12.
