Members Existentialist
They look nice to me. I hate the look of new and/or painted instruments.

Members Verence
It's not reliced or beat-up at all. It's just a thin transparent finish.
Members Carbohydrates
It's not a new beat up mando. It's a new mando finished with a dark stain. But hey, don't let me stop you from ragin' against the relics! Keep on keepin' on.
Members Geeter
I am not a fan of the relic thing. That's not a relic. Looks like a nice mando without all the bling.
Members Existentialist
To be fair there is mention of "road worn" inspirations in the instruments description, but yeah they're just lightly finished. My favorite look for both a mandolin and a guitar. I think Gibson approaches this classier than Fender does. Thin faded finishes can look "aged" but they also appeal to people who just like natural wood. The Fender road worns with their template-precise paint chips are a bit cheesy. I was going to post a pic of a terrorist & make a crack about you hating America & found this. Members vcnyls
I think those look great. I'd be surprised if Fender doesn't come along with a cease-and-desist letter asserting a trademark interest in "roadworn" though.
