Members the_bleeding
it can get really fizzy really fast. Play it first, and spend a lot of time tweaking it. Decent tones can be had, but theyre tough to find.
Members MorganB
Most people do not like them, I do It is my #1 amp, You can get any tone you want out of it and great harmonics. I have played many amps through my Celestion G12h cab and this is the best for high gain ...I have yet to try The Derringer VVT Hyperdrive through it though that is a killer amp but a lot more $.... I think the reason this gets a bad rep is you have to dial in the sound because you can go from massive midrange bark to midrange scoop, so you have to set it where you want or you may get the opposite sound you like. Plug in a Plexi and you just get great Plexi, this does Plexi +.....The cleans are not as Glassy sounding as a Matchless but the overdrive is better than most..for cheap because of the bad rep. and does so at low volume too! Members ESchmidt
I had one and thought it was ok. It had some good sounds, but it took a while to dial them in. It is VERY easyy to dial in a bad sound.

Members Brick
Thin and Buzzy. To the poster that says it's the best for high gain, cmon. For teh Br00tal metulz, a 5150 is a million times better than the mode four. My '84 2204 boosted with a OCD is killer for monsterous rythm tones. Lots o better options OP
