Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted October 15, 2009 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2009 Well, I keep getting some serious wind for a humbucker guitar with a tad of wiggle, and I couldn't ever dream of aading weight to a LP so an SG it is. I love the Vibrola SGs, but when you see this guitar who do you think of most? Robby Krieger? or Angus (Pissface) Young

Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted October 15, 2009 Author Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2009 Oh My bad But then to be perfectly honest I hardly ever see Angus with one, although there is a Gibson CS version of this guitar In contrast, I don't think I've ever seen Krieger without his, even when he wasn't playing

Members tiltsta
In all the live pictures I have seen of Angus he rarely plays a vibrola SG (at least in those from the last few years). When I saw AC/DC in concert a few years ago he was playing an SG with lightning bolt inlays, but no vibrola. I guess it is on his signature model from the early AC/DC days when it was on his original SG.

Members nevermind
When I think of any Gibson I immediately think of Hendrix. I program easily, and besides, it's not just a guitar; it's a lifestyle. http://needcoffee.cachefly.net/html/dvd/images/jh-tdcshow1.jpg /tongue firmly in cheek honestly, I guess RK. I'd certainly think of him before Angus.

Members vcnyls
Tough call who I think of more. Another option for you (and cheaper than those custom shop jobbies if you can find one) is the Gibson GOTW Explorer with Short Vibrola. Here's a pic of mine. Great guitar and makes me think of Allen Collins!
