Members BydoEmpire
This is the only guitar I've bought online without playing first. It was sold as a '72 tele custom, but it has a standard tele body (note single volume & tone knobs) with a custom neck & pup configuration. The bridge SC died after a month and I replaced with a Hot Rails. The neck pup is a gibson mini HB. I also had it refretted. It plays and sounds awesome:
Members caveman
9 years? :poke: 2 necks, 3 bridges and 3 pickup changes to get it right. I would not consider another tele project without the Callaham bridge assembly.

Members Brian Krashpad
OK, but remember, you asked. Here's my beater Frankentele that a bud made into a string-through-- with a hand drill and a chisel! Edit: Specs: Unknown body (possibly Saga, basswood w/belly cut), unknown bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan mini-humbucker in neck slot, unknown neck (possibly old Mighty Mite, tinted maple). How is that Callaham any different than the Wilkinson compensated bridge assembly? Didn't Wilkinson come out with that concept first?

Didn't Wilkinson come out with that concept first? I don't know which came first but the Callaham took twang and sustain beyond where the Allparts and Wilkinson did. The Callaham BP is made from cold rolled steel and is noticeably more robust in construction. For me it's an ear thing.

Members vintage clubber
Here's the best I can do. ok. so you got the slant style vs their version of the Wilkinson saddles. I did notice on their website that they pretty much fabricate their own stuff so I guess that would account for why they are so pricey...
Members ARAMP1
I found a RI Esquire neck on the bay, so I ended up putting this together. Just a standard MIM (I believe) string through body with a texas special in a standard bridge. I have the three position switch wired for 1) tone pot bypass 2) with tone pot and 3) Stewart Mcdonald "Black Ice" capaciter.
