Members doc oc
Contacted a guy on craigslist who is selling a gibson 335. All I got was this not so great picture and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it just by looking at it. Anyone care to guess what a fair price to offer would be? Members mrbrown49
Could it be a KS-336? Kiefer sutherlands sig with a goldtop? Year I'm finding is about 2007. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Custom-Shop-Inspired-By-Kiefer-Sutherland-SemiHollow-KS336?sku=514026 Edit: NM, different inlays but it may be a place to start looking. Maybe there was a non CS version at some point.
Members doc oc
Seller says 335. Body looks a little big for the queefer sutherland model too.I thought the ks-336 had a smaller body

Members headless
There's one on this page, and they have, "Call for price", so I guess they have to make sure that you're not a heart-patient before they tell you ($$$$$): http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mae-music.com/vintage/215-ES%2520335%2520gold.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mae-music.com/html/body_vintage___collectible.html&usg=__oUlZbba_dyuUDp0ejPvpNRjpWxY=&h=267&w=600&sz=14&hl=en&start=1&tbnid=O9VHmcmUV5TjTM:&tbnh=60&tbnw=135&prev=/images%3Fq%3Des-335,%2Bgold%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official http://www.mae-music.com/html/body_vintage___collectible.html

Members benricci
Anyone know the answer to making p90's fit in standard HB cutouts? You're gonna need humbucker-sized P90s. They are out there. Look for Seymour Duncan Phat Cats.
Members doc oc
Has anyone seen one of these in a goldtop before? How do I know if it is a real gibson? Members doc oc
Have you tried contacting gibson? I just did. The serial number checks out as a custom shop 335 and the color is called autumn wood. What do you guys think it is worth?
Members doc oc
Doesn't autumn wood sound kind of like a brown or reddish color description? Anyone know where I can find a color chart?
Members headless
If it makes you feel any better, I just spent 20 minutes clicking-thru every Chinese fake site I know, and I didn't see any Gold-Tops. Of course, in the time I took to write this, 20 more Chinese factories have sprung-up to make fake Gibsons. In general, the counterfeiters aren't all that creative, and stick to tried and true examples of what sells. Since it's unlikely that they've seen or had access to such a rare model/finish, I tend to believe that they wouldn't be "knocking it off". But I believe in a lot of weird things, so don't go by me.
