Members Invader.CC
I recently bought a Epiphone DOT that i bought just because it was a good deal..I have mostly been a Strat player for the last 10 years or so..I have since really come to like the tone of 335 type guitars..As much as i would like to buy a Gibson 335 it just isn't in the cards right now..What are some other 335 clones out there that are worth while to check out..Here are a few i have checked out.Hagstrom Viking.Vintage Aria Pro II 335 copy (my favorite so far)ESP XtoneIbanez 335 copy (which i was surprised that i didn't like because generally i like Ibanez guitars) Which 335 copy or clone do you prefer? Members Elias Graves
Go to Fazio's and play a Hofner CT Verythin. EG
Members roughtrade
I prefer Heritage, but that Epiphone Sheraton is an excellent guitar.
Members metallica_00
I think guitars like the heritage 535 and yamaha sa are the beat option - they split the difference in price between Gibson and Epi (or other inexpensive imports) but the guitars are much much better than sheratons etc and very much on par (some argue better) than Gibson. 335s are just so expensive new at this point - you're looking at $3k for a new sunburst 335 it seems. A new heritage is $1k less and a used one is about 1100-1200. The sheratons are fairly nice but compared to the heritages I have played there is no contest. Well worth the money if you really want a keeper.

Members plasticscouse
Go to Fazio's and play a Hofner CT Verythin. EG +1 on the Hofner, a very fine guitar. I've played one against a Epi dot and a Casino. Beat them both in terms of quality and play. My gf said that the Dot sounded like my epi LP. The Hofner probably sounded better than then Dot. So I'm not the only one on earth to try one?I would've snagged it but wasn't looking for a 335. Much nicer than the Dot for sure. The finishes are stunning. Members elvisart
I've got a jay Turser that was better than the Epi and most of the other 335 style guitars I tried out. I bought it after a good buddy dicked me out of a sweet deal on a 1967 gibson dot cherry. A friend was selling it for $400 (what he paid).
Members Pine Apple Slim
Check out Eastman, a little more expensive than an epi, but less than a Gibson and high build quality.
Members Vintage55
Check out Eastman, a little more expensive than an epi, but less than a Gibson and high build quality. I played the 14" small-body Eastman 335 style (comes with Kent Armstrongs) and it was great. Beautiful guitar...

Members The Bear
Went searching for a 335, played many, and came home with this. Eastman. I think these are far superior to a Gibson. A work of art, and the feel of being handmade.
