Members LuckyBlackCat
I have a strat that has gone through many incarnations of pickup configurations and pickguard colors. First it was just all white w/ single coils, then black pg and parts with sc sized humbuckers, then black with two real humbuckers. Now I have it back to single coils with a mint green pg and white plastic parts. I'm considering changing it up again and going back to a black pickguard with all black plastic parts (keeping the single coils). Here is a current pic as well as an old one to get an idea of the black look. What should I do?

Members sfarfsky
I think a light brown/butterscotch would look nice on your guitar.
Members LuckyBlackCat
black plastic you got a purty strat Yes, I think that's the look I want. I'm not crazy about the tortoise or going back to a white guard with black parts.

Members EJD
Buy a bunch of cheap ones in various colours, put each of them on and see what you think. I would go for all-black, on a single-ply 8-hole matte black guard... the current colour of the body's a little pale, but still, it would have a bit of that early 50's Blackguard Telecaster vibe going...
